How to Access Backend & Publish An Article/Post/Blog

These are all the same thing, but using the word "article" will generally get you a higher readership than a "blog post". So when you are sharing these on X, FB or wherever, think about the wording when you share it. That said, matching it to the audience you think it will best fit, younger generation might suit "Check Out My Latest Post", us oldies may suit "Read My Latest Article Here".

Test & Measure: This is why I have displayed visitor stats for "Authors", so that you can understand visitor patterns and check for spikes when you are publishing something. No spike? Then do something different, you will find what works best for your readers.

I will try and get a few videos on here for you, but if reading is better for you to learn, there are plenty of tutorials on learning SEO and optimising articles, a basic search that will help (I have installed Yoast for SEO):

  • How to Write An SEO Article in Wordpress - Yoast SEO

Images: This is super important, ALWAYS name your images to the keyword that you want to optimise for. So if you are writing an article titled "Free MP Letter Templates: Useful Resources" and your main keyword is "Free MP Letter Templates", then your images should be called free-mp-letter-templates.png, free-mp-letter-templates1.png, free-mp-letter-templates2.png  etc. (I'll do a video on this too.)

Keywords: This is an area that can be as simple or as complicated as you like, but it is very important. Keywords are for the searcher, not the writer, remember that. Think about how someone will search for your article. Let's take the example above, you need to get in the mind of the person searching, not your experience and knowledge (The Curse of Knowledge*) and set a keyword that will hopefully match what laymen are searching for.

*An Engineer would call a screw a Zr1915-TNC, a layman, looking for it online, would search for a "2cm screw for cabinets", so think about what they would search for, not what you as a specialist would search for/call it.

Rule of thumb: Use the keyword in the Title, First Paragraph, Content & Subtitles, Image Titles, Image Alt (I'll explain all this more in the SEO video).

Hope this helps :)
